These Terms of Use govern your use of apnalisting.com (the “Website”), operated by Apna Listing Ltd. (“Apna Listing,” “we,” “us”). By using the Website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. The directory
Apna Listing is a local business directory for British Columbia. Business information is provided “as is” and “as available,” for general information only. Claiming or listing a profile does not imply endorsement by Apna Listing or by any municipality. You are responsible for independently verifying business information — including hours, services, and prices — directly with the business before visiting, booking, or purchasing.
2. Accounts and submissions
You may register an account to submit or manage a business listing. You agree that information you submit is accurate, that you are authorized to submit it for that business, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights. All submissions are human-reviewed before publication. We may edit submissions for format and clarity, decline or remove submissions that violate our listing policies (including prohibited business categories), and suspend accounts that abuse the platform. Listings for home-based businesses are published as service-area listings without a residential street address.
3. Reviews
Reviews are the opinions of their authors, not of Apna Listing. We do not edit review text: a review is published as written or removed in full under our Liability & Review Policy, which also sets out the report-and-correct process for businesses (contact info@apnalisting.com). Review manipulation — including fake reviews, paid reviews, and reviewing your own business without disclosure — is prohibited.
4. Intellectual property and acceptable use
The Website’s design, text, and compilation of listing data are protected by copyright and other laws. Business names are used for identification only (nominative fair use); business logos appear only when supplied by the business or its authorized franchisee. You may not, without our prior written permission:
- scrape, bulk-harvest, or systematically copy listing data or any substantial part of the directory database;
- republish or resell the directory’s compiled data;
- use automated tools to access the Website in ways that burden it or evade its access controls;
- submit unlawful, deceptive, or infringing content.
5. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia and Canada, Apna Listing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Website or reliance on listing information. If Apna Listing is found liable for any claim arising from these terms or the Website, its total aggregate liability will not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars ($100 CAD). 6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Any proceeding arising from these terms or the Website must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
